9 in 10, troubles in full effect, kids not alright.

1) A 50-year-old man was found shot to death inside of his condemned house in the St. Roch area early this morning. Donald K. Brown died before paramedics could make it. He had been shot in the head and torso. Officers went to Brown's house in the 2800 block of Comus Court after someone called 911 about 1 a.m. They found a crack pipe and what appeared to be drugs on the floor near Brown's body. Officials haven't released details on suspect/motive. St. Roch, Murder

2) A teenager was killed and two other people injured in an apparent drive-by shooting
Wednesday night near the intersection of Louisa Street and St. Claude Avenue about 8 p.m. D'Andre Rumbley, 16, of New Orleans, died at the scene from multiple gunshot wounds about 8 p.m. Witnesses described it as a drive-by. A 21-year-old man was shot in the left upper arm and was reported in stable condition. A 47-year-old woman was in guarded condition after she was shot multiple times. Both were taken to a hospital. The woman was sprawled in front of the St. Claude Used Tire Store at the intersection. A witness said he saw a blue Ford truck drive by and a man begin firing rounds from the passenger side. At the intersection of Marais Street and Poland, police guarded a Ford F-250 four-door truck. It looked as if it was abandoned suddenly near a large oak tree at the Heartbeats Life Center. 3) Someone murdered a 22-year-old local man and shot his friend Tuesday morning, while they were on a porch in the 1800 block of Leonidas. Bryan Christopher Smith was hit multiple times in the 7:55 a.m. shooting, and at least one bullet struck his head and knocked him to the ground face up. The friend, 21, was also shot multiple times, was rushed to LSU Interim Public Hospital in guarded condition. Bullets hit him at least once in the leg and abdomen. Hollygrove, Murder, Shooting

4) 3700 block of Texas homicide. On 07/13 at 1527hrs, officers responded to gunshots at the location. Upon arrival officers observed the victim suffering from multiple
gunshot wounds to the upper torso. Victim was transported to the
hospital where he expired. Westbank, Murder

5) On Sunday, July 12, 2009, at 11:53pm, Eighth District Units received a
call of gunshots at Bienville and Clinton. Witnesses observed several
black males firing handguns. Responding officers
observed several black males fleeing. These subjects were
apprehended. It was later learned that the victim, 16 yo B/
M, had been taken by private vehicle to a local hospital with a
gunshot wound to the abdomen and one to the shoulder. French Quarter, Shooting

6) On Saturday, July 11, 2009 at about 9:49am the victim and the arrested
were in the 2800 block of Abundance St. An argument ensued between
the victim and the arrested. The argument escalated and the arrested
subject retrieved a knife and cut the victim. The victim was
transported to the hospital for treatment. The perpetrator was later

7) On Saturday, 07/11/09 at about 11:40 p.m., Second District units
responded to a shooting in the 8300 block of Belfast Street. Upon
arrival Officers observed a black male lying in front
of a rsidence in the 8300 block Belfast Street suffering from one gun
shot wound to the head. EMS attempted to render aid but could not
revive the subject. On July 12th Ricardo Jackson (b/m 18 yrs. old)
turned himslef into the police for the incident. Hollygrove, Murder

8) On Tuesday, 7-7-2009, at 12:32pm, N.O.P.D. 1st District Units

responded to a double homicide at 1445 Iberville St. Upon arrival
officers entered into the residence and observed two victims lying on
the floor from apparent gunshot wounds. The investigation is ongoing
by the Homicide Division. IPH area, Double Murder

9) On Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at 9:13pm, 1st District Officers responded to
an aggravated battery by shooting in the 1700 block of Columbus St.
upon arrival Officers discovered a black male laying in the street
suffering from several gunshot wounds to his upper body. The victim
expired on scene. 7th Ward, Murder

10) On Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at or about 3:30 pm, Officers responded to an
aggravated battery by shooting at the intersection of N. Miro and
Bienville St. Upon arrival Officers discovered two victims from
apparent gunshot wounds. One victim expired on the scene, while the
second victim was transported to University Hospital. Treme, Murder, Shooting

11) On Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at 12:54pm, Officers responded to an
aggravated battery by shooting at the intersection of Touro and N.
Derbigny St. The victim was entering his vehicle when was shot several
times. The victim drove his vehicle notified the police at the near
the corner of St. Claude and Elysian Fields. St. Roch, Shooting

12) On Tuesday, June 7, 2009, at 6:53pm, the Sixth District officers
investigated a shooting at First and Chippewa Streets. Upon arriving
at the scene, officers located the victim, who was suffering from a
gunshot wound to the lower left leg.The victim was walking at the intersection of First and Chippewa Streets when he was approached by three unknown
black males, all between the ages of 17 – 19. One of the subjects
began shooting at the victim. The victim fled on foot. Irish Channel, Shooting

13) On Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at about 5:30pm, the victim and the wanted

subject were in the 2500 block of Lavender St. The victim stated the
wanted subject ask to borrow money, but the victim refused and the
wanted subject became irate. The victim exited the residence and
moments later the wanted subject exited the residence brandishing a
shotgun. The wanted subject pointed the shotgun at the victim’s
head. The victim grabbed the gun and attempted to move it from his
head and at this time the gun discharged. The wanted subject then
fled the scene. Gentilly, Scuffle

14) On Sunday, 7/5/2009 at or about 2:36am, Officers responded to an

aggravated battery by shooting near the intersection of St. Bernard
and Marais St. Upon arrival the Officers met with victim who had an
apparent gunshot wound to the leg. 7th Ward, Shooting

15) On Sunday, July 5, 2009 Officers responded to an aggravated battery by

cutting at 900 N. Claiborne. Victim stated she was involved in a
verbal altercation inside of Club Fabulous. Victim stated a large
fight escalated at which time she was stabbed several times. Victim
was transported to Tulane Hospital. Treme, Stabbing

#3 1800 Block of Leonidas is NOT Hollygrove, but Pension or Pigeon Town. Also know that there are 2 (two) Hollygrove Neighborhoods -divided by Airline Highyway/Drive.
