A New Orleans woman was critically injured Wednesday night when a man entered a Mid-City bar and slashed her throat, police said. The attacker, who also stabbed another patron, was arrested a short distance away, police said.

More bodies in the East:
Tuesday, New Orleans police responded to a call of shots fired about 7:15 p.m. and found Curry alive but lying on the ground in the 7700 block of Chef Menteur Highway. He had been shot several times, police said.
