Lived and Died for Carnival

We're sorry to hear...

Antoinette K-Doe, the irrepressible widow of rhythm & blues singer Ernie K-Doe who transformed the Mother-In-Law Lounge into a living shrine and community center, died early Tuesday after suffering a massive heart attack. She was 66.

We're sorry to hear...

1) On Sat, Feb 21, at 2:30am, the victim, W/M, became involved in a verbal altercation with a co-worker in the 1100 block of Decatur. The co-worker suddenly struck the victim several times. The victim observed that he had sustained a laceration to the neck during the attack and did not know what had been used to cut him.

2) On Sunday, February 22, at 9:35 p.m., officers discovered the victim, Cornelius Williams, lying on the ground suffering from gunshot wounds to the torso at the intersection of Annunciation and Philip Street. He was pronounced dead shortly after by medical personnel.

3) Jefferson Parish authorities have identified the couple discovered Friday by their teen-aged son as the victims of an apparent murder-suicide at their home in Metairie. Dana Fouchi, 48, apparently shot his wife, Barbara Fouchi, 47, in the head around 6 p.m., then turned the gun on himself.
