Why not
Let's throw another body on the fire, after all, it's a Monday.
New Orleans Police are investigating this morning the murder of a man found shot in the Iberville housing development.
Gunshots were reported around 7 a.m. Monday in the 1400 block of Bienville Street, Officer Garry Flot said.
Upon arrival, police found an unidentified man on the ground with several gunshot wounds.
Can't you hear them? All the voices that think this is no big deal, since it was in the projects, comma splice.

Disgusted
NOMB's roommate is uninterested in the man on Pauger St.
"Not uninterested," she clarifies. "Tired"
For little relief from the neighborhood violence, we move to JP
A man was shot to death Sunday night in Harvey, the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office reported.
Deputies responding to a report of a shooting around 10:30 p.m. found the man lying near the front door of 1124 Tallow TreeLane, said Col. John Fortunato, sheriff's office spokesman.
To say do something, would be a mute point...wouldn't it?

Self-Destro(ya)
Dear Folks on the Outside,
Stories filter into NOMB, becasue of it's nature, concerning men forcing young girls into cars, muggings at night, and others. While eating a soy patty in the kitchen standing up, NOMB hears the mayor on AM 870 declare, "We have a certian criminal element in the city. Sometimes visitors get sucked in." Or something to that effect.
Five teenagers have been arrested in connection with vandalism in Metairie Tuesday night into Wednesday morning during which they allegedly tossed a vodka bottle through a high school window, according to police reports.
Two brothers, accused of attacking employees of a Warehouse District restaurant this past weekend, turned themselves in Wednesday, police said.
But this one really says it all:
New Orleans police are trying to fill in the blanks in the robbery of a Lower Garden District smoothie shop Tuesday afternoon.
Four phone calls and one therapist session later, NOMB will not be going on hiatus, but rather, ramping up for full paranoid breakdown.
Thanks for the concern

Citizen Vs. Cohort
There comes a time when NOMB finally finds itself saying things like, "If you out on the street in the middle of the night in Pigeon Town you muust be one of two things. Either you one hard working motherfucker, or you up to no good."
Still, whatever can be done?
Police spokesman Sgt. Joe Narcisse said Second District officers were dispatched to the 8400 block of Panola St. shortly after 3 a.m., where they found the man bleeding on the roadway, apparently from a gunshot wound to the head.
The answer, we suppose is found in this quote:
"He was a very hard working man," said Robinson, who considered White family. “The fact that they just killed him, shot him point blank in the face for no reason.”
All of this shit gets to be too much

Let Talk Honest
Somewhere in the neighborhood, the thugs have set up shop. Reports indicate that an architect asked some kids to move their car on Piety street. They took a shot at him. The numbers are increasing in the street. They say they move from block to block. They have moved to ours.
But don't just blame the city though:
A Destrehan woman was carjacked Tuesday afternoon in the parking lot at Clearview Mall in Metairie, authorities said.
