1) On Saturday, May 23, 2009, at approximately 9:58 p.m., the three victims were standing in the 2700 block of St. Andrew Street when someone began firing a weapon striking one of them in the leg, one in the stomach and the other in the hip. The victims provided few details and no perpetrator descriptions. Central City, Shooting

2) On 05/22/09 at approximately 4:39pm, Officers of the First District responded to gunshots in the 1500 block of Conti Street. The Officers observed the victim suffering from gunshot wounds to his upper torso. The victim later expired at University Hospital. Treme, Murder

3) On 5/23/09 at approximately 11:20pm, Officers responded to gunshots in the 1400 block of Conti Streets. The Officers observed the victim suffering from several gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to the University Hospital where he was listed in critical conditions. Treme, Shooting

4) On 05/23/09 at approximately 11:50pm, Officers of the First District responded to gunshots at S. Lopez and D’Hemecourt Streets. The Officers observed two subjects suffering from gunshot wounds, both
subjects were listed in good condition. Mid-City, Shooting

5) On Monday, May 25, 2009, at 1:58am, the victim, B/M, was near the intersection of Conti and Bourbon with two friends when he became involved in a verbal altercation with two unknown black males. The
suspects walked away, but returned shortly thereafter. The suspects both produced pistols and fired at the victim, striking him in the lower body. The suspects fled on Conti toward N Rampart, but were apprehended by police. French Quarter, Shooting

6) Police are investigating a shooting Sunday evening that occurred on the tails of Super Sunday parades in Algiers. Algiers, Shooting

7) New Orleans police responded to reports of shots fired at the intersection of L.B. Landry Avenue and Ptolemy Street, and, upon arrival, found a man lying in the street suffering from a single gunshot wound to the head. The man, whose place of residence was not immediately available, was transported to the hospital and remained in critical condition Sunday night. Algiers, Shooting

#6 and #7 are indeed the same incident; the victim passed away today.

My boyfriend's cousin was killed in the incident 6 & 7. My prayers are with his family. May God be with everyone through this painful time. I regret not getting the opportunity to meet "Tootie". May God Be with New Orleans.
