It seems like off-duty NOPD is a rising demographic in the violent crime arena:
An off-duty New Orleans police officer was wounded Tuesday night when bullets passed through a wall of his FEMA trailer in Gentilly.
Luckily, their trying to push this through:
New Orleans police officers would receive raises of 10 percent to 33 percent in their basic city pay under a plan presented Wednesday to members of the City Council's Budget Committee.
Of course, crime is still random as well:
Gretna police are searching for a Marrero man they say committed a brazen carjacking in a fast food restaurant's parking lot Tuesday while on parole for an aggravated assault in New Orleans.
