A Wrap Up

We reported on some of this, although we don't actually report, but repost. Either way, here's the round up from today:

Four men were killed in separate shootings Monday in New Orleans, the most slayings in a single day this year.

A 22-year-old was shot in an argument outside a 7th Ward nightclub, according to police. In Algiers, gunshots allegedly triggered by a teenager felled a 52-year-old. A 21-year-old was killed in the middle of a Bywater street. Minutes later, a 29-year-old man died in in eastern New Orleans from a gunshot to the head. Riley said he has redeployed officers to Algiers and other “areas of concern” in response to the shootings.

If you read through the article, you'll notice that the name of the street in Bywater is not named. This is becasue organizations like Silence Is Violence work and live around here. The press is backing off the neighborhood. Maybe, they have orders not to incite.
