Sleepless

We never sleep before travel days. It seems that even when we're 1000 miles away from NOLA we can't shake it.

This is the second such incident at the homeless encampment you might drive by on your way to the Casino, or GW Finn's, or some crap like that

A 30-year-old man was in stable condition after being stabbed in the chest Wednesday evening, according to New Orleans Emergency Medical Services.
At about 7 p.m., New Orleans police called paramedics to the intersection of Canal Street and North Claiborne Avenue,

For those of you, still close enough to find interest in a particular case, here's a follow up to the boy who was shot in the upper blocks of Frenchman last week. (Note: Party Goers fear not, you can still get high and hangout at Snug Harbor with the same marginal risk as before. We don't think they'll roll out the patrols for this one the way they did when that dishwasher got popped outside of The Praline Connection)
However, if you do still have a bone of sense in your body, the following news is about as heart breaking as you can get. When we were 15, we were content with breaking into cars to steal cellphones.

A teenager sought in the shooting death of a 17-year-old last week in the 7th Ward turned himself in to police Tuesday night, a police official said.
Jamal Fletcher, 15, was booked with one count of first-degree murder in the shooting death of Lance Zarders in the 1600 block of Frenchmen Street.
