We wake to find this in our inbox, in response to yesterday's post:

the male has a name - and a devastated bunch of people who care about what has happened to him. Not to mention how this has, in turn, had them re-examining how they look at murder in this city

They all have names, Leigh C. They all have people who care. It's long past time for an examination.

NOMB Monday Pop Quiz

Question 1:

New Orleans police on Sunday were investigating a shooting in Central City that was reported shortly before 2 p.m., officials said.
The victim, who was not identified by police, was shot in the head at Loyola Avenue and Fourth Street. Injuries are not considered life threatening.


Question 2:
Authorities are attempting to identify a body found Sunday in Lake Pontchartrain near the shore in eastern New Orleans.
About 6 p.m., two fishers found the body floating near Hayne Boulevard and Paris Road,
It was not immediately known whether the body had any connection with two New Orleans teenagers missing for a week from a fishing boat.
