Sometimes, this thing just wears us down to the bone. So much so we don't even feel like drinking coffee. We're burned out over here, truly, and it's only Monday for heavens sake.

This one sounds oddly personal.
The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office was looking for three or four men in a late-model blue Jeep Cherokee in connection with the kidnapping and killing of a 26-year-old River Ridge man early Saturday. Sheriff's deputies found the body of Terrance Pinkley, 26, of 11401 Jefferson Highway, about noon next to an abandoned home in the 8300 block of Milan Street in Metairie.
Sunday -
1)Three people were shot, one fatally, Sunday night in the Central City neighborhood, New Orleans police said. The shooting victims, two men and a woman, were shot about 7:45 p.m. at Jackson Avenue and Willow Street. The three drove themselves to a hospital, where one man, who lived in New Orleans, later died,
2)A man was in stable condition Sunday after he was shot in the leg in Mid-City, New Orleans police said. The man was shot several times in the leg Sunday about 1:30 p.m. in the 300 block of North Miro Street.
