Back Logs

We've been sleeping in on account of the time change. Sleep is the cousin of death they say.

1)A New Orleans man was gunned down Saturday evening in the middle of an Uptown street. The fatal shooting took place shortly after 6 p.m. in the 7300 block of Pitt Street, near Lowerline Street. He died of a gunshot wound to the head, New Orleans police spokeswoman Shereese Harper said. Police had no motives or suspects, she said, but a red compact car was seen leaving the scene.

2)The Orleans Parish Coroner's Office identified 16-year-old as Dominique Weber was shot Sunday. Weber was shot shortly after 5:30 p.m. in the 1400 block of Frenchmen Street in the 7th Ward. Officers responded to a call about a shooting and found the juvenile lying in the street between North Villere and North Robertson streets.

3)37 year-old Lester Harris was shot dead in the Iberville public housing complex. First District officers responded to a call of shots being fired in the 200 block of North Robertson Street found Harris lying on the street suffering from apparent gunshot wounds to the head shortly before 7 a.m
