Always More To It

Doesn't it seem like there's more to a story like this than you'll ever know?

A pair of shootings Monday afternoon left one man in critical condition and another dead of a gunshot wounds that deputies believe were self-inflicted inside an Old Jefferson apartment as a deputy stood out front knocking.

This is the part though that gets us:

The deputy knocked at the door and identified himself, then heard a single gunshot from inside. Eventually a man opened the door, clearly suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. The man was pronounced dead later at University Hospital.

It's those Southern Manners. So ingrained that you just got to be polite, even if you have just shot yourself in the head.
