Happy B-Day Isreal

While the lovely fire spinning, salsa dancing, gospel singing citizens of Cincinnati celebrated the founding of Zion, our peoples back in the city were celebrating their own special occasion. Little known fact, yesterday was the 200th year anniversary of New Orleans first attempted murder. The 7th ward held a ceremony in honor of the momentous occasion:

New Orleans police flooded part of the 7th Ward on Thursday about noon and momentarily placed St. Augustine High School on lockdown while searching for a gunman who exchanged fire with an officer earlier in the day.A uniformed officer in an unmarked car was driving on St. Bernard Avenue near North Miro Street about 11:30 a.m. when he saw two men, one wielding a handgun, get out of a Lexus. The gunman shot several times at the other man. The officer started chasing the gunman and the gunman shot at the officer.

It can happen anywhere, folks. Where yat, New Orleans.
